The Original White Vinyl background, and the toughest!
Lux S Studio Decor originally introduced the white vinyl background in the mid 1990s in response to the perceived demand for the white background look created by some skilled marketing campaigns.

It affords an answer to endless rolls of paper, and is fully wipeable to remove all everyday grime, as well as allowing soap and spirit cleaners can be used to remove more stubborn marks.
White vinyl is stocked as a 3m wide roll, with each background cut to order, making bespoke sizes possible, often at no extra cost.
Owing to the variety of mounting systems that are encountered, list prices do not include any mounting, but aluminium cores can be supplied with the backgrounds ready mounted for use. Please see our notes on handling white vinyl backgrounds below for further information on how the backgrounds are best used.
Although introduced as a studio product, We also supply complete kits to allow the white vinyl background to be used in mobile operations, and information on this is included in the Handling guide, linked to below.
A wider 3.7m width is available with a 6m length only: However, this fabric is lighter and less durable than our stock 3m roll product. Sample swatches of both products are available on request.
For wall mounted support systems, please see our Hardware section HERE

Please note that owing to the durable nature of the material it is heavier than a traditional canvas, and consideration may have to be given to arrangements for its use on some background systems. As a guide, a 10x20 traditional canvas weighs approx 12 kg: A 10x20 white vinyl weighs approx. 16 kg

NOTE WHEN CONSIDERING LENGTH OF BACKGROUND TO BE FIXED TO A POLE
Attachment to poles is by double sided
tape, and, if the background is completely unwound to its full extent the full
weight of the background is on the adhesive, and not the pole. You should therefore
keep at least one full wind ( approx 15-20cm on a standard 50mm pole) on the
pole at all times to allow the weight of the background to be maintained on
the pole, and not on the adhesive. This applies to all studio backgrounds in
varying proportions, the importance rising with the weight of the background.
You should remember to allow for this small addition when ordering your background:
The length of fabric supplied is from end to end, and the working length
is obviously slightly reduced when fixed to a pole in this manner.
