Using your Standard Chain system with background paper rolls

There is no need to roll your paper off onto the metal core...

First, using masking tape or something similar, make a taper at one end of your
Standard Chain system pole as shown below

Then simply slide the roll, complete with core, over the metal tube so it grips onto the taper (nb You may have to remove the screw or nut holding the pole end in place - Ensure that this is replaced) You may also like to put a couple of bands along the length of the tube to reduce any movement along the rest of the tube.

Simply use the paper roll with the normal chain.
