About Lux S Studio Decor

LuxS Studio Decor was founded in 1987 as Studio Decor by Peter Harrison and Trish Sparkes, who ran the business
until 2000 when Jon and Sue Eaves took over. The company was incorporated in April 2003.

Originally based near Hyde, Cheshire UK , Studio Decor is now based near Beaminster, Dorset UK.

The company manufactures, sources and imports a wide range of items for all types of photographer, and aims to offer economic, practical solutions.

No obligation visits are available throughout the mainland UK.

In April 2004 Studio Decor were appointed as distributors for the UK and Ireland by DENNY Manufacturing of Mobile, Alabama USA.

BACKGROUNDS - With the Denny range Studio Decor offers a range of over 1000 designs in canvas and muslin backgrounds to suit
all studio and location work. We are also agents for 'Colorama' background papers and 'Lastolite' backgrounds

PROPS - An ever evolving range of props and accessories, enhanced by the Denny range.

POSING AIDS - Studio Decor are the manufacturers of the noted 'Ideal' four piece posing kit, and its outdoor and location derivative. Baby posing aids and other specialist posing aids and props are manufactured in house.

FURNITURE - A wide selection of other posers and furniture

FABRICS - Assorted fabrics for Glamour and other uses

STUDIO HARDWARE - Booms, stands, ceiling light tracksystems, background handling systems.manual and motorised.

LIGHTING - Studio Decor are agents for both Bowens and Elinchrom lighting products, including the full ranges for both of kits and accessories. Items from the 'Lastolite' range of light modifying products and the full range of Mannfrotto products can also be supplied.

STUDIO RENTAL - A 900sq foot fully equipped studio is also available for rental. This can be used for either your own shoots or courses and masterclasses.

STUDIO DECOR are regular exhibitors at FOCUS on Imaging, held at the NEC every February, and also participate in regional Pro Roadshows, details of which can be found on the 'Where to see Studio Decor' pages. Occasional regional events and seminars are also supported.
